Now ITV1 has been with us for 11 days, can we round up what each region are currently doing, what idents are used etc.

Here is what
YORKSHIRE, GRANADA, TYNE TEES & BORDER
use

Idents-
'Already Formed Up' - Spinning hearts, short music, logo there from start

'Short Lines' - Lines ident where the logo is formed from Horizontal and Vertical lines, but the short music is used, and therefore the announcer can talk throughout

'Lines' - Lines ident where the logo is formed from Horizontal and Vertical lines, the long music is used, and the annoucer has to wait until the logo is formed and the introductional bit of the music has ended

Tyne Tees and Yorkshire also use a set of Regional Idents before regional programmes. In the case of YTV these are 'short idents' with just backing music, the logo is already there, and the announcer talks throughout, Have TTTV dropped the long versions?

Breakbumpers

All four regions use ones with just the 'ITV1' logo

Sat/Thur - Splash
Sun/Mon/Wed - Fire
Tue/Fri - Purple
The other three have been dropped

What name?
Announcers either say, 'Yorkshire', 'ITV1', both in various ways or just 'Tonight at 8, A touch of frost, but now Charity returns in Emmerdale' ie. None

Over to you?

Carlton Central have only ever used the splash break bumper, and that's still true. The bumper only mentions itv1, and only mentioned itv before.

The current Carlton idents are the same as ever, again the only difference is the itv1 logo beneath the CARLTON*, rather than itv.

There is and always has been long and short variations of the Carlton hearts idents. Example:

'Balloon - long' = small gold heart drops into gold liquid, then heart made of sparks zooms away from viewer, then heart-shaped foil balloon pops up, from which the Carlton star flashes to form finished logo.

'Balloon - short' = Heart-shaped foil balloon pops up, from which the Carlton star flashes to form finished logo.

Exactly the same in London. And Westcountry.

BTW I recorded the first ITV1 ident carlton style and no ITV1 announcement like Central:Just a (pre-recorded?) 'Now we check out the latest music scene' and CDUK comes up.

HTV pretty much the same as Carlton except for the breakbumper, HTV is named with ITV1 underneath, but the logo is smaller than it was before. (HTV has always been named on the breakbumpers)

Granada used a full music version before the ITV Lunchtime News on Tuesday. Didn't see what it was as I was in another room and only heard the full ITV Generic musicfrom the start.

Channel ITV still only use the generic ITV hearts logo at start up after GMTV with its own music. We still have no 1 on the ITV logo as ITV 2 isn't available here in the Channel Islands although all programme promotion is done as ITV 1. This is because ITV network is supplied from Southampton by Meridian and Channel just broadcast what they want on top.

Still no bumper breaks just blank screen.

The new ITV idents are speculation.
It's rumoured that EMP are designing new idents for the network, which will be released in the Autumn.
Whether it's ture or not remains to be seen, there's a lot of rumours put out, most of which are just that, rumours.

In Scotland with Scottish Tv theres not a trace of ITV let alone ITV 1!
I think SMG like to pretend that they are unrelated to ITV and its really SMG who own the channel

Well it's tough sh*t for SMG whenever the national news and weather programmes come on, isn't it?!
