I don't really have a problem with itv, it's just that for people who may not take an active interest in television it all sounds a bit confusing. Take HTV Wales as an example, tonight there was an ITV1 trailer that ended 'thursday at 9 on ITV1' then there was an ident and the CA said 'Over on ITV2 now, Davina McCall in Sam's Game but meenwhile here on HTV it's pretending to be Judith'. That's 3 station names after the other on supposedly one group of channels!!
Also what are those new trailer end boards all about, the grey and blue combo kind of makes your eyes go funny (unless it's just me!).
BTW Steve, if YoungJournalists.com looks as great as this i can't wait for it to officially open. Also, Asa, make sure you give your web hosts a good ar$e kicking, they diserve it for depriving hundreds of us tvhome members of our beloved site! sob sob

Hi, its Andrew here, having just read MHP Chat Digest, I came across this temporary Forum.
It now seems that the Granada stations haven't dropped the different breakbumpers, as 'Heart of Fire' is in use today, which used to be Mondays. Yesterday was 'splash' which used to be Sundays and Wednesdays.
The Granada stations are now using 2 idents, either a standard spinning hearts or the lines ident. BOTH idents have the 'short spinning hearts' music, so that the announcer can talk right from the start.
Look North Saturday yesterday was unusually presented by Ian White, Normally its either Harry, John or Dean.
The Super League Show is still using the 'tri-circular' desk set as of today
Calendar News and Sport yesterday was presented by Anne-Marie Tasker and Jason McCartney.
Tonight, 'Goals on Sunday' was renamed 'Soccer Sunday', Still with John Shires, still on the Calendar set. This change is because, later in the season, 'Live Football, will be shown regionally.
thats all I can think of at the moment, what a pity everything desided to go pair shaped on such a busy weekend, or any day for that matter. I hope TV Home returns shortlY!

In previous years, YTV's soccer programme didn't used to run until a few months into the season, I could never understand this. At least they seem to have got their act together this time around.

Oh and I have to say that the ITV1 logo looks rather good on the Heart of Fire break bumper, much better than the splash.
Surprised to see Nick Hancock advertising ITV Digital this weekend.

Are they using all of the bumpers again then?
Well I can't speak for any others but HTV are just using a modified splash. Exactly the same as they have always done.
In terms of a re-branding, this must be one of the biggest non-starters in the business. Surely they would have been better to have new idents, break-bumpers etc? After all it would have made more of an impact.
Also the 'Tv from the heart of life' strapline dosen't really fit anymore. They have dropped the smoky hearts from the trailer end-boards and i suspect that they will dissapear from the credits (like Corronation St etc) pretty soon. This only leaves the idents, which without the other two dosen't constitute much of a brand at all?!
Btw, Does anyone know if ITV2 presentation has changed at all?

Yes, it is a bit of a mess really. You make a good point about the end credits of programmes. I personally didn't see anything wrong with the endboards as they were, the smokey hearts were much better than these blue wavy lines which represent absolutely nothing. The grey looks awful and I hate the way the itv logo forms and the small screen comes in at the end.

It all happenes a bit too quickly at the end, there is too much going on it too short a space of time. They would be better off just animating the itv1 logo on the trailer end-boards.
