ITV 2019 idents and presentation - ITV Creates

I think ITV have banked on the fact that they're going to have about 200 idents by 2020 at this rate, there's already 5 in the first day. I'm wondering how they can create special variants with this (RWC, for instance).

My feeling is why is this only for one year. In 2020 are we going to revert back to the 2013-2018 idents once again, or is there a bigger relaunch planned for January 1st 2020?

I wouldn't want these idents to be ditched. Seems such a waste. Maybe use them in rotation the following year and add to them? That's what I'd like to happen anyway.

Which should see them right for a good five years.

More than long enough for the half dozen UTV ones to become boring!

It's like going back to Central in the late '80s trying to be creative with all their random takes on the "cake" ident - far too many and disjointed. Yes, the cut-out "itv" looks nice and crisp but sadly they're ruining things by being too clever for their own good. The tagline "more than tv" sounds like part of the insurance company - perhaps they could do a tie-in with sponsorship. Certainly not as bad as the BBC onemess though.
Just clear, concise idents styled for each programme strand, e.g. entertainment/lifestyle/music; drama; news/current affairs/factual; sport ... or is that too simplistic?

Yeah, I kinda like art myself so I'm really excited to see what the other artists come up with the next 52 weeks.
So far, Ravi's work looks simple yet very nice.

Of course surrounding pres doesn’t have to match up with idents. Most channels don’t.

Idents don’t have to be programme appropriate or themed to the programme that follows. Remember times when ITV used to lead into every programme with a single ident?
