Does seem odd to have BritBox and BBC Select in the same market unless the latter is more factual oriented and airing stuff BritBox wouldn’t touch with a barge pole

I think that BritBox and BBC Select should be merged into one

Dare I ask why?

Because I just feel that ultimately BritBox should be the only place that should contain programming from the BBC and ITV and other broadcasters, I can't see why BritBox should not contain documentaries

France 5 has launched their new "human" rebrand with a set of new idents set on the theme of "widening the frame"
Here's a case study by the agency behind it, Motion Palace

Poland's TVP had a press conference tonight and has announced a rebrand for TVP1, TVP2 and TVP Sport.
I love how TVP1 and 2 have the same style but with differences to tell the channels apart. I love the line animations for TVP2.
BBC, take notes for the love of God.

EDIT: Forgot to mention TVP will also launch 3 new channels this year, TVP Kobieta (women's interest), TVP Nauka (educational) and TVP World, their first English-language channel for Poles living abroad. It plans to show Poland and Central and Eastern Europe to a wider audience.
They also intend to launch TVP Muzyka, which as its name suggests, it will offer music programming from music videos, concerts, documentaries and movies with a variety of genres.

Dare I ask about where TVP World will be transmittied via? Internet only channel via TVP.PL or are they going to go on a transponder space hiring spree, like Astra?

TVP already operate Poland in English as an online channel. TVP World, which I presume will replace the former, was supposed to present the 'Polish viewpoint' abroad - seems odd that they now say they will try to reach polish citizens abroad... People who you would presume more to be in the market for a Polish language channel!

TVP is not a public broadcaster in the way we would recognise one as UK viewers. It is no BBC, ARD or even TVE.

There is no editorial independence or impartiality. Its board is heavily controlled by the ruling party at a time when that party is heavily involved in culture wars type rhetoric, picking fights at home and abroad.

The bald partisan output of TVP's 'news' division would make Fox News anchors wince at times.

TVP Info all but campaigned for Duda during the presidential elections last year
(and was quite hostile to the challenging mayor of Warsaw) and was hysterical about the recent and ongoing Women's Strike movement in the country over abortion rights.

At a time when the people in charge of the country are concerned that they are losing the propaganda battle overseas and losing womens' support at home, it's hardly surprising that TVP has been tasked with creating a world 'news' channel for international viewers and a new TVP Woman channel for home.

Its not even subtle!

Presentation is quite nice, however. One oddity though is how TVP seem to be moving away from a boxed logo, but two of the new channels seem to have inherited a hand-me-down TVP logo

Internet apparently according to this article in Polish.

From that same article:

Currently, Poland IN is available only on the Internet via TVP Stream. The new international channel is also expected to appear on television. - We will want to go beyond internet distribution, we are also considering all other technical distribution options. We will strive to make the channel available not only via the Internet, but also via satellite and cable networks. The point is to reach as many viewers as possible in the world - emphasizes Grzegorz Kuczyński.
