The best ident (well, series of idents) in my opinion was the Central cake. I really liked the way that there were numerous versions and all differently coloured - the 1997
CENTRAL
idents (a version of the idents that Carlton were using) were carp and bland; the previous idents should have been kept. However, another good series of idents are the Carlton 1999-2002 set, which I felt were very much better than the previous idents introduced since 1993.
Does anyone remember the idents Yorkshire introduced in 1969? There were a few made and were, all in all, colour versions of the first YTV ident. Am I just imagining this?

You could have been used for a porn film :
But seriously, I hate the ITV 1 ones.
IT could have been used for a porn film.
Sorry, typing too fast. Just to clear things up, I am not some porn star

I agree, that is probably the best audio of all the ITV idents, sadly they don't use it for many others.
The worst has to be the one that sounds like a reversed 1940's grammaphone record. Often used on the promotion slides.

I do like the ITV1 ident that has a sort of happy Good Vibrations theme about it. "Bah-de-bah..bah-bah-bah".

Worst idents ever: Visually very good but the music on Sky Soap, Travel, News in 1995 was poor - rapidly churned out of an old keyboard by the sound of it. Didn't care much for the post-britpop hangover that was the 1997 batch either.
I think it's needless to say that Lorraine's dancers are at number one.
And the current CBBC's arent much cop either - I'm very nostalgic about the ones this time ten years ago.
