Hi, can somebody please tell me if there is a link to view the Christmas TV listings for Granada Plus.
I was interested to read on the Corrie thread that there will be a Coronation Street Day on Plus over the festive season. Plus usually show other great programmes over Christmas, I would like to see what Plus have in store this Christmas.

Yay! Old corrie! Great! I watch the current 1992 run avidly and would love to see some even older ones (they were in August 1988 when I started watching on Plus- we're into July 1992 now)

Their first Christmas Day was all Coronation Street aswell, they showed the first dozen or so black and white episodes

I think its too early to have confirmd Xmas schedules just yet - currently the SKY tv guides in the shops are the ones for November so the December issue should be available in about a months time.

I think its good that Granada Plus are showing old Corrie - they used to often have specials based on particular themes which went out on a Saturday in the past. Yes I think they showed the first 16 episodes of Corrie back to back on Christmas Day 1996.

Ive watched Corrie since Granada Plus launched in 1996 and they began with episodes from April 1976 when Elsie Tanner returned from Newcastle. I am enjoying the 1992 episodes but it would be nice for Granada Plus to show some old episodes in addition to these.

I was watching the Plus Corrie rerun until I came back to uni (without Sky this year Sad ) and whilst the 1992 episodes are still excellent, they are getting worringly close to when Corrie turned into...well into the Corrie of today (it was early 1999 when I stopped watching it, but I hadn't been too happy with it for a good couple of years before that). It would be nice to think that at some point they do go back to the past again (even if they only went back to the early 1980's it would be something). It won't be good if they just keep trying to catch up to the current episode - with the prolific rate Corrie is churned out at now it just won't happen.

Well I e-mailed Granada Plus a while ago and they said they have the rights to all Coro St episodes but have no plans to show older episodes. I reackon they will show up to about 2000/2001 and then go back to 1970s- but that would realistically take until 2008! It would be better if the 9am episode was from 1976 for example and the other 2 episodes were the 1992 ones.

You're not the only one, I am never in at 12pm, I forget about 5.30pm and I am never up before 10am on a Saturday.

It's better than any other channel at that time of the day. It was better when they had it at 7am, 9am, 12pm, 6.30pm and 9pm, and a Sunday omnibus, at 3pm, so you never forgot to watch it.

I am rather sad to notice but they seem to forget to change the endcap to a Granada Production for Granada Sky, as it has been A Granada Production for IT* more recently.

As it is currently on June 1992, there's a one hour episode coming soon isn't there? As I seem to remember they showed a special episode with something to do with Terry Duckworth and went out the same night of the first Eldorado.

Yes, that shuold pop up in a couple of weeks. Sadly can't tell you when as corrie.net haven't updated in ages, hence their Granda Plus episode guide is well out of date Sad All I know is today's ep was Mike & Alma's wedding- TX 19/6/92

I assume it was originally done to make the GSB brand prominent. But more recently it's being diluted ('Granada Plus' is now officially just called 'Plus TV' now), and will probaly disappear alltogether soon. With that in mind, replacing the endcaps is probably no longer a priority.

I don't know why they bother doing it anyway, especially since it only affects LWT and Granada programmes.

It seems to depend now. There was a whole week where the endcap wasn't changed, now it's not changed occasionally. With Emmerdale, it looked like they only repalced the endcap (with the 1994-96 one) until the end of the IT* era, as since they got to November 1998, they've been using the proepr endcap.
