Well, considering Hollyoaks, Eastenders and Coronation Street all have their respective threads, I believe that Emmerdale are very deserving of a thread aswell.
I thought tonight's episode was exceptional, it got the right balance of serious and light-hearted, which is normally hard to do with such storylines and it also caught the charisma of the village with the Fair which was held. Grayson and Matthew at the end also gave what I thought was a really intimate moment when Matthew handed over the photograph to Grayson in the Police car. Eli was also exceptionally funny tonight, I thought and the lines with Paddy and Marlon were hilarious.
Of course - the hour did bring some really contrived moments, Carl practically singing and dancing when they he had been shot and the entire village fair crumbling into Armagheddon with things bumping into each other with a sort of Domino effect.
All in all though, a fantastic episode.
