Nihal from Bobby Friction & Nihal on 1Xtra. Also on late Radio 1 on Tuesdays. Bit of a strange choice I'll agree.

I would have thought one of the regular daytime DJs who has their own show would be a better choice. Such as JK & Joel, Vernon Kay, even Fearne and Reggie would surely be higher up the list

Maybe, but I'm glad they don't as all the above mentioned are rubbish. I'm a Radio 1 fan, but can't have any of these. Fearne, possibly, but that's it.

One thing i notice after just watching a clip of the final TV-am prog. Has Ms Kelly not aged at all since 1992?

I agree last time I saw her she looked no different to back in her TV:AM days.

Richard Keys is another story of course Wink

Is he still hairy? (Don't have Sky sports !)

Not sure about the hair but he definately looks older, haven't a clue what Mike Morris looks like now, does he still has the tasche?

Lorriane just seems to have not aged at all in 14/15 years

Twas nice to hear my name being mentioned again this morning. Ok, not me personally but there aren't that many Asa's in the world!

And he played Leona's single this morning - "I'm just going to talk over it so you don't tape it. Go buy it you tight...If you're listening to this now and you've downloaded it illegally just buy it" "Home tape is killing music" Laughing

Laughing Agreed, sony are the biggest hypocrits (sp) seeing as they moan the most about illegal copying but sell recordable DVD's, CD's, VHS Tapes, Cassette Tapes, Etc.

Anyone hear Chris play the presentation demo of the 2007 Newsbeat package this morning? Sounds pretty swish.

By all accounts Radio 1's programming fell off air around 6.30pm tonight

The recorded programme went silent, and when the emergency tape kicked in, it also went wrong and apparantly kept jumping from one song to another half way through

the emergency tape was rather bizzare as it kept jumping back and forth. how long did it go on for? I turned it on while you've got the love was being mashed up and tried again 10 mins later but couldn't even work out what song was supposed to be playing

I've just listened again online. If you click on Radio 1's Chart Show Live Relived..

2m30 is where the show just ends, a bit later the backup tape kicks in
2m50 is where the backup tape gives up the ghost and skips back and forth all over the shop, which then continues to the end and then into Pete Tong's show

Obviously there was nobody there at all to sort it out

That's what they get putting out an entire schedule with recorded programmes

I hope Chappers and Dave mention it tomorrow
