They're showing 10 of the best episodes - one or two C5 episode might sneak into the top 20, but no way do they get in the top 10. If a revival happens soon on C4 and is somewhat successful I think the C5 years will be largely lost to history.

The regular show maybe, but I think there were some classic Celeb series on C5 - I remember the Jim Davidson series being very popular at the time (wasn't it extended by a few weeks?), and "David's Dead" is probably the most iconic moment from the show's second run. The only regular C5 series which I think stands up against C4 is 'Secrets and Lies' in 2013 because apart from the one big 'one housemate is an actor' twist they largely went back to basics, showed quite a lot of live feeds, and let what was a good mix of housemates develop naturally. All the other C5 series seemed to be one convoluted twist after another in the hope of creating arguments between a house full of mid twenties models.

I don't think any C5 celeb moment though beats Vanessa's breakdown, "Yeah, Jackie", "Do you want me to be the cat?" and "Your claim to fame is this, good for you".
what, DeMarkay and GMc gave kudos

For me no one can hold a candle to Tiffany Pollard on CBBUK. She is instantly hilarious and made be me laugh every episode that she was in. She was as legendary and fiesty as she was on all her previous reality shows before CBB. Especially when she read Gemma Collins for filth in the DR. Im there for it anyday, everyday. I love a good read. There are loads of Tiffany Pollard on CBBUK reaction videos on YouTube.

Plenty of C5 CBB moments are incredibly memorable/infamous:-

- Jim Davidson, a horrible contestant, actually won his series
- Perez Hilton being a complete moron the whole series
- 'David's Dead' misunderstanding
- Any time Tiffany Pollard was on screen
- Anne Widdecome trying unsuccessfully to straighten her hair
- Gemma Collins being a spoiled brat the entirety of the series
- Kim Woodburn rowing with practically everyone

And the one that probably will be most remembered is Roxanne Pallett / Ryan Thomas punchgate, and those ones are just off the top of my head.

And you've just highlighted why it was so unwatchable on C5. Vile horrible casting.

But it got people watching and talking about it, which is exactly what the producers wanted.

A far cry from Melinda Messenger and Les Dennis having a game of Connect 4!

Which we won't see again seeing as Les blocked his footage. Or he certainly had when Channel 4 ran a documentry on CBB.

Do you mean particularly in the Daily Express, Daily Star, and OK magazine? All of which were owned by Richard Desmond / Northern & Shell, who also owned Channel 5 at the time.

The only reason Channel 5 bought it back was because Desmond wanted to use it to help sell his rags. Before he bought C5, they weren't interested in bringing it back (and neither was any other channel).

I don't read any of those publications, and yet I was talking about the show with friends and on social media with many other people. If Desmond's media outlets covered it extensively, that made absolutely zero difference to and had zero influence on me. I was a fan of the show before it ever moved to Channel 5 and didn't need any of Desmond's rags to try and sell it to me. I imaging the same applied to the majority of the audience in the C5 era who simply carried over from the C4 era.

And as soon as he sold the channel they were no longer interested in it.
