I think it may have been September 1999 rather than March (not sure where I got March from).

Fairly sure that's the Millennium/Time Season ident.

So we can now prove LWT xmas tree was used in 1998, It still unclear if the tree was used in 96 or if it was the rocket.

That's a weird one. I know Calendar and Granada Reports both had very shortlived titles because the first generics supplanted them after only a few months, but there's no such excuse here.

The pic comes from a clip from Feb 90, in which was used as titles into a short programme about Central news, its commitment to the area etc. The tiles also has 89-92 East titles and South titles. There was a clip on TV ark

Central news west were bad for changing all the time, in 1991 another new look appeared by 1993 it was changed to different colours

It seems Carlton has stated the 3rd batch of 1st package of idents come in to effect in 1994. http://www.carltonmedia.org/1993-identity.html One can only conclude it was very EARLY 1994, Since more people believe it was late 93 etc

Also the 2nd batch must have come along pretty quick aswell in 1993.
