great to here Charlie telling us to "go away" at the end of the show once more - I was beginning to think the over zealous BBC had deemed that catchphrase inappropriate or something stupid.

Why would you think that?

I love hearing the thoughts of Doug Stanhope.

Tim Key... not so much...

His segment about the underwear bomber made me laugh, more because of his facial expressions. Other than that, yeah, can do without him.

Great show last night concentrating on politicians, especially Adam Curtis's piece.

Superb episode this week.

The rolling news channels' obsession with the stultifying build-up to invariably delayed live press conferences is beautifully captured, Doug Stanhope sounds off about ill-informed opinion and how we're encouraged to share it, and Brooker dissects the media's hyping, nay engineering, of the John Terry 'scandal'.

I also liked the credits. Not just as they broke the rules, but as they featured the end of the world.

And may I say thoroughly well deserved. Newswipe in my mind has been spot on in both series.

A wonderful surprise to see Brooker triumph over Cowell.

A victory for real creative talent.

Did the announcer forget his "strong language" warning just now? There was a BBC Four strap telling us about the forthcoming naughty words slapped over the first few seconds (after the titles), which was taken off when there were some graphics from a Sky clip under it.

No there was no announcment at all due to a fault, so the strap is put there to cover the strong langauge aspect that would have been contained in the announcment.
