As I'm watching Channel 4 all morning, hearing the CA mention 'It's A Sin' every single time when introducing every programme, dare I say it's now starting to make me sick of hearing about it and not want to watch! Laughing

That would be a great shame as I have a feeling it is going to be a very important piece of television, absolutely worthy of all the hype it's getting. Crazy to think this is a story that hasn't often been told.

Still better than pre-recorded "Watch programme X on All4, the UK's biggest free streaming service" announcements you usually get for most of the morning.

Essentially what Sky constantly does with "Available now" implying the viewer doesn't already know about on-demand services.

It would be nice to see them showing the original launch film before today's Countdown at 2:10pm.

Or just get Paul Coia to record that particular junction's announcement.

Have to say the coloured and falling 4 blocks break bumpers just look lovely. Wish they'd keep those and put them on rotation with the others from now on.

I posted about the "presentation beyond the idents" last year and it is nice to see them getting showcased today. Really like the current style in those colours too.

Oh I will definitely be watching, I was just making a joke. They must be expecting massive ratings for it tonight and I can see the press savaging them if it doesn't given the amount of effort they've gone to to promote it.

To be honest, given what it's about, I'm guessing a large proportion of the press will savage it regardless of how well it does.

I've already seen some comments about how putting 80s idents throughout the day is 'disgustung' and 'just pushing [channel 4's] agenda.

What agenda? That their old logo and idents are fantastic compared to what we have now? If so, then I'd have to agree!

If you search for ANYTHING on Twitter, you'll see people moaning about it.
Mary Berry could personally bake every household in the country a cake and within half an hour on Twitter, you'd have people saying she was only doing it because she wants a knighthood, people complaining that their cake is a Victoria sponge when their neighbour got a chocolate one, people saying it's got some kind of chemical in it to force people into compliance with some form of terrible arcane regime, people going "ooh, icing's a bit sweet, innit - does she not care about diabetics?!" ...
I wouldn't use 'people are complaining about this online' as a marker of anything.

I would like the idea of Mary Berry personally baking me a cake.

Good to see them show more than just the usual blocks idents. I agree it’s a nice touch about the continuity announcements being done in a bit more of a formal 80s stylee too.

I see with that YouTube video they’ve gone and preempted the pres sites! Gives away what’s happening at 7pm now Very Happy
