Challenge TV launched on Freeview!

And of course it is currently on Challenge+1 right now. At the end Matthew Kelly says it is the last of the series. The next episode should be the Christmas one with Kriss Akabusi, Judi Spiers, Annabel Giles and Andrew O'Connor.

Hopefully they will get some older episodes soon. Even some newer (Darren Day) episodes would be better than another run of one of the early 90s series.

Does anyone know if that's a real song in the promo at the beginning? It's quite catchy. I've searched for it but nothing.

I thought the Family Channel had already turned in to Challenge TV by Autumn 1998?

As discussed previously in this thread, Family Late was a programming block set up after the launch of Challenge TV, presumably due to contractual agreements with certain Family Channel shows.

I've done the same. Like me, you must be Tumble Tower too.

I think Challenge TV may have played the song out cleaner than it appears in the above promo. It's a pity that isn't available online.

I'd love Challenge to show 100% again (which used to air on Channel 5 and Challenge bought the right-repeats for).

Another TV show they could and should commission, is 'Wanted', which used to air on Channel 4.

This tells us absolutely nothing, but I thought it was worth ruling out this line of enquiry anyway...

I'd also like to see 100% again - cheap and cheerful Channel 5 programming, great stuff though.

But what I'd really like to see is Fifteen-to-One. I never saw it, and so I'd like to see if it really was as good as people make it out to be.

Interesting thing about that was that it was far rarer back then for a BBC face to appear on an ITV show. In fact there was a credit 'special thanks to Children's BBC'.

It would be nice to have another TV Scrabble, Defectors or Take it or Leave It.

Didn't Challenge also make 100% repeats 'play along' via Red Button.

I think they also did with Defectors, Play Your Cards Right and TV Scrabble at least. They'd be listed as 'Play Along TV Scrabble' on the EPG. It was around the time of 2002 or 2003 relaunch away from Challenge TV to Challenge?.
