Celebrity Big Brother

Details of the new series of Celebrity Big Brother have appeared in the press tonight - with a few changes planned.

The show will be longer than previous versions, running for two weeks (on a par with I'm a Celeb...)

Their will be eight celebrities instead of the usual six

Phillip Edgar Jones says the show won't air until next year - it had been rumoured for December

No privacy for our celebs either. They'll live under the harsh conditions of the BB5 contestants with just one mixed bedroom and the glass-fronted shower remains.


The article mentions Jim Bowen and Lucy Pargeter (Chastity in Emmerdale (also in Crossroads) as possible contestants, while earlier in the week The Sun reported that although producers had plenty of interest from D-list celebs, they were strugling to find the big names.

Caprice would also be a likely candidate - she was supposed to appear on CBB2 but had to drop out at the last moment.

I thought Celeb BB had been axed



C4 soon change their mind when they want a bit of money coming in!!!

That should explain the handbrake turn and U-turn on this one..

I think C4 had planned a Celeb BB last Autumn, but that was axed, rather than the entire idea, due to a combination of reasons including poor figures for BB4, Davina's pregnancy and the sheer number of Celeb reality shows on screen.
