CD:UK (seperated from CiTV on ITV1 thread)

CD:UK is now going to be made for five - dunno when it will restart though.

Bring back the original style version of The Chart Show - best music programme ever made!!!!

Nothing has been confirmed with Five at present. I've heard that the delay to the show restarting is down to, you guessed it, ITV. Apparently they need to release Blaze from contract for things to go ahead with Five. Seems a bit odd to me as they were the ones to axe it, but then again they did the same with Home and Away I read an article many years ago about the success of CD:UK and SM:TV Live which stated Ant & Dec and Conor McAnally, the show's Executive Producer, had sold the formats 'into' the ITV Network so not sure if this is why there is contractual problems now...

Wow! I mentioned this 4 days before the official announcement - not a surprise really!!!

Channel 5 could take a real big lead over ITV here, if they have the guts.

I understand that the owners of five (Bertlesmann/RTL) want to create a big slice of Milkshake on one of their new channels (thus creating, more than likely, a 12 hour segment each day - akin to CITV. So I can imgaine the children's programming budget will be increased.

If five have the guts, why don't they create a 2-3 hr Saturday morning magazine show and steal the children's audience from BBC and ITV - to be simulcast on five.1 and the new channel. It would only benefit five even more.

They could also create a new Children's/Youth strand on a Sunday morning, as well - as the youth are not really catered for by the main channels (except for Channel Fours T4 omnibus showing of Hollyoaks)

Not quite rumours...... to be more precise friends who work for both Blaze and for Bertlesmann/RTL channel five who have been working on the deal for some months now.

Will it be shown the same time as it used to be on ITV, or something like Friday Nights which it should be.

They're planning to show it at 5.30pm (ish) on Saturdays - starting sometime in the summer.
It's going to be presented by Dave Berry and an as yet unknown female.
