Apparently, they will be the first EVER all-female regular presenting duo on UK prime-time television! The fact that it has taken until the 21st Century (and a-decade-and-a-half in, at that!) for such a thing to happen is shocking.

1. Someone has already pointed out that's not strictly true.

Er, they pointed that out AFTER I posted what you have quoted. So, your "jumping down my throat" attitude makes no sense in relation to the actual chronological order of the discussion that has occurred (as well as being a poor attitude to have generally).

Also, my all-important caveat of using the word "Apparently" demonstrates that I already recognised and acknowledged from the outset that the thing I had read elsewhere isn't necessarily an irrefutable undeniable fact, and I therefore did not present it as such.

You're trying to make this out to be some kind of monuments thing when really it's not.

Amazing grammar there... Rolling Eyes

I am me. You are not me. Don't try to tell me what I am or am not "trying to make out". I wasn't "trying to make out" anything, I was simply expressing an opinion that I am entitled to have, and that doesn't have to be the same as your opinion.

I was just reiterating that to show it had been taken onboard by myself before making my points. I wasn't implying you'd missed that point.

You've not responded to any of my points, you've just attacked my grammar and right to infer.

Seems like the most sensible option. The sexism/ageism row avoided, someone the audience knows and that will move aside when Brucie returns for the specials. I am sure this year will be a trial and see how things go.

Whilst Brucie is a legend, I am sure there are a good number put off by him being on the show - so there may be some keener to watch if they get a nice cast this year.
