Finally a change of style this year, from the old regal style gallery to a superhero theme.

Is this actually live? As the Pulling director just said that the Pulling special is over on BBC 2 now but there's Snooker on.

Pulling speical is on about 10.40pm, but if the snooker is on, then its running late.

I wonder why there had to tone it down abit which is a shame

People will complain about anything these days and it features the "controversial" Jonathan Ross, plus, Ross uses it as a gag anyway.

I know a live programme - especially awards programmes are particularly difficult to get right but I have to say that as the casual viewer it comes across as very unprofessional with the guests and Johnathan Ross not knowing exactly what is going on at times. The whole set up seems a lot less grand as well with the stage looking rather small and cramped at times.

It appears some of the winners are being a little more reserved than usual too.

Probably due to the large family audience inherited from The X Factor, as referred to earlier.

Frankie is still funny, what he said about Jonathan Ross is true

I should imagine there's a delay, just in case somebody says something defamatory (or even extremely crass).

Because if the slots are of value to commercial companies they'll be of value to ITV themselves to promote their own products.

Didn't expect the award for Terry Wogan of all people at the end there but I guess it's his year (semi-retirement technically)

While it's nice to create a lifetime achievement for radio broadcasting, I don't see where his appearance in the genre of 'comedy' comes in...

He makes people laugh. Everything he says is for laughs, more so than Chris Tarrant who won a similar award a couple of years ago.
