I think one act was chosen by the judges.

Reading Guardian there's it would appear that Matisse was substituted for a 'stunt dog' for the high rope walk...

I can't help feeling this fact should have been disclosed to the viewers during the show as the act was 'Jules O'Dwyer and Matisse', which I don't recall happening. I imagine most of those voting would have been under the impression it was the same dog (Matisse) performing all the stunts.

Well she used 2 dogs in the semi-final, and a 3rd dog also featured in the final. Matisse was not the sole performer apart from in the first audition. I think the viewers enjoyed the act, regardless of how many or which dogs were involved.

I agree, we already saw the second dog in the semi finals who looks just like matisse. She even paraded the all three dogs on the telly this morning.

I just remember I know she was using both dogs, since how else do you explain how on appear in each box/lid.

I'm not normally one to express outrage and complain about programmes, but I do feel like the third dog should have been disclosed before the voting opened. I doubt it would even have made much of a difference to the voting.

Call it what you like, but it was out and out deception. We expected the magician to deceive us through sleight of hand because that's essentially what stage magic is. But I thought Matise did the whole on stage act and feel a bit let down now by ITV to be honest. I know it's only a dog act for goodness sake, but still...

We already knew she had a team of dogs, and one identical to Matisse from the semi-final. I expect the 3 legged dog had more to do with her winning than Matisse anyway. It was a team act.

She should have brought the other dog out at the end.

That does assume everyone watching the final had seen the semi-final performance, which I personally hadn't (though I didn't vote). At end of the performance only two of the dogs where (visibly) present on stage, and not all three.

All they needed was a dog dressed as Dec giving a "don't try this at home" warning, and explaining the use of professional stunt dogs.
