Not exactly, most of their prime time shows get over 1m now, less than that is a pretty average performance for them so they’re not struggling for shows that can rate decently for them. Although Big Brother is one of their bigger shows, probably still just about their biggest, it’s not rating significantly higher than their other shows which it used to. I’d be surprised if they went for another three more years of this as it’s sure only drop further. This series of CBB was pretty good but it must have been the lowest rated series.
Well Channel 5 have been doing loads of promotion for the summer series already. I actually seen an advert on Facebook and posts on Twitter of posters in university’s to audition for Big Brother. If this means there struggling to get people to audition or just trying to make this series stand out we’ll not know. Also there promising cutting back on outside contact, better tasks and well bringing back the social experiment it used to be. They’ve also delayed the series to avoid it clashing with Love Island (Which is very worrisome) I think however no matter how
much they try the damage is done and I doubt the ratings will ever recover
I could be wrong and correct me if I am. But I’m pretty sure Big Brother is one of Channel 5’s biggest show. It’s not usual for the channel to air a show that gets over the 1M mark even Will & Grace which is a huge show in the US struggled to peak at half a million viewers
