Just asked my friend what is donga.com...

It is a South Korean Newspaper: Donga Ilbo (Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese) Newspaper

Apparently, the newspaper has an agreement to rebroadcast BBC World

If you visit:
http://www.donga.com/

You will see a link to BBC World live feed. If you try to click on it, it will probably tell you that you have a bad IP. I am guessing that it checks to see if you live in South Korea or if you are a subscriber.

You will also see another link to ABC Asia Pacific. Clicking on this link will probably will tell you that you have a bad IP.

If you are interested in Australia BC Asia Pacific, you can try this direct link:

http://mplay.donga.com/abcAP.asx

So, by visiting the direct link, you are bypassing the IP verification.

I doubt that this link will be put down. It may be renamed to avoid further direct linking, or it may require membership registration.

Two months hence and the stream is still working fine. Incidentally for those interested there is another stream for BBC World. Not as good as the Donga one but here it is.....

i managed to get the stream up on my internet connection, which is 56k, although i get sound, i get no picture, can anyone help me out?

You've no chance. I've even had problems getting a picture with a 2mbps connection on occasions - it seems just to be a poor link at times, but you'll certainly not get a picture on 56k..
