Personally, a regional BBC Three filled with news slots wouldn't logically work. 60 Seconds was just enough for that audience. And while I believe a 24 hour BBC Three could be do-able, what with BBC iPlayer's programming targeting the 12-16 market that CBBC and BBC Three leaves a gap between, where's the transponder space to warrant that? Wouldn't it work better as an OTT service on Freeview connected devices?
If you think your post is the "best you've ever made" then you're just influxing your ego further. If you're going to say something like that, then you should deserve more criticism for that and your attitude.

I really couldn't have said it better myself
I was saying it's the best i've made because all my posts are garbage, and this one in retrospect is the most garbage!
You know guys I always respect the opinions and the ideas of other people but what LWTfan1968 wrote...I'm sorry but that would just destroy the BBC
I was a little tired when I wrote that earlier... but I think that Three
would
need a longer news programme, and 24-hour service would be a bit better than timesharing with CBBC (ah yes, lets have programmes catered to young adults on a channel that also houses children's shows), but having regions would be a bit stupid (even though they'd be axing Scotland (or potentially Four)), and I think 15-30 minutes of news in the evening would be good enough, with 60 Seconds shown at regular intervals.
I think we should all stop there, this is a thread about the BBC, not about my posts (oh wait, technically that one's my fault... oops!). Lets just go back to talking about Three and Scotland. Sorry for the dumb post earlier.

You realise that while they share the same data stream they appear as separate channels, have different channel numbers, have separate branding and are complete independent channels as far as 99.99% of viewers are concerned, right?
Honestly, going back to the whole "THREE v. SCOTLAND" thing, here's a good idea: regional BBC Three with a an overhauled Nine serving as the National/Int'l news and a more in-depth regional bulletin opposite the News at 10, the regular regional bulletin, and the first 15 minutes of Newsnight, with each nation (or region, perhaps?) getting it's own hour-long bulletin. Having two hours of news that's different from the rest of the Beeb's news output would mean RATINGS. And then the rest of Three could be regular Three, whatever that would mean. Of course that would mean 24-hour Three, but I'm sure there's a way to figure that out.
I think this isn't as bad as people are saying it is. 2 hours is extreme but there could be a 10 minute slot at 9 for news (possibly by nation, but could be a faff to implement) In that spot I don't think it would do too badly. There could then be a 'newsbeat' every our afterwards for 60 seconds or so.

But really, what's the point of BBC Scotland? It's like FOX in the US; a glorified programming block. With network BBC Two in it's downtime, despite the fact that 2W had regional continuity (ok, that was because Two Wales still existed on analogue, but still). It's just BBC Two with a bit of regional programming for a few hours and news because its not like BBC One Scotland has enough regional news (not to mention STV has two regions, and then ITV Border in the south). The Nine is just more news put in a slot that doesn't affect the Beeb's other news programmes, despite the fact that you have
45 minutes of Scottish, UK-wide, and international news on One at 10.
There's no reason for it.

No, as discussed earlier, you have 45 mins of Scottish, English-masquerading as UK-wide, actual UK-wide, and international news
