Bloody awful.

Oh dear it looks like something ITV would have done about 8 years ago during their much criticised celebrity ident era.

I'm not sure about the Consider Yourself idents.

They might grow on me, but I prefer last year's.

On another note, a new ident just aired before Merlin - The Grufallo?

We're going to be seeing a few for BBC1, I was told.

Ooh I liked that! The Consider Yourself promo in full then becomes the ident at the end. Sorry if this style has already been used, but not seen any comments about it.

The end was lovely, it faded slightly with large slowflakes falling as the announcer spoke.

Are the Daily Mail complaining yet?

Much prefer the Gruffalo ident, even if it is in a similar vein to the previous Wallace and Gromit and Doctor Who idents. And as they'll be running for at least three weeks good to know they'll be a few versions.

The look itself is well polished and presented, although the personalities singing "Consider yourself..." is a bit on the cheesy side. It contains the good elements of the Wallace & Gromit 2008 and Doctor Who 2009 looks while still including the general Christmas theme. The idea of using jumpers as the background to promos is genius.

My only concern is that, where the idents start with the Consider yourself promo and then link into the ident, the promo itself could get very wearing very quickly. But a good concept if performed well. The Jury's still out if the BBC can pull it off without it wearing come December 25th.

Indeed it could, and will. It has just been used again into the Lottery.

Maybe this is just because the Christmas programmes have just started and it will slowly be used less and less as the festive period goes on.
