Just seen a story on the ticker on NOL about helicopters being scrambled after 20 people seen in water off Morecambe.

Within minutes it had disappeared.

Obviously it was a non-story. Would this have been broke on N24, or would they have got more info first?

If you could click on that link to the story, that means they have the details about it and will break it on tv, but if not when you click on it it will just bring you to the bbc news main page again, meaning not enough details yet. =D

Both News 24 and Sky News had it on breaking news straps during the PM's press conference.

They said helicopters had been scrambled.

Sky later reported on-screen that the RAF said all the cocklers were accounted for.

Out of interest, do they have to be as impartial on there as the magazine sections can be quite sarcastic.

Even you can appriciate that imparciality and sarcasm are two completly different and unrelated things.

Sarcastic was the wrong word, I can't think of a good word because I'm tierd but there are often opinionated pieces. Are these only allowed in certain sections or are they only allowed when there is a little picture of the author on the top of the page with their name and whatnot. I'm just wondering if there are different rules for different parts of the site.
