4od and you tube

how come some channel four content on youtube is unavailable due to copyright in 'your country' yet I can watch the same thing on 4od/ youtube

example I can watch the entire run of Lipstick on your collar on 4od / youtube yet I can't view individual songs

in of of the songs on lipstick on your collar they havn't quite dubbed over the song and you can hear Ewan McGregor singing rather off key

Because 40D/YouTube is the official channel and as such copyright remains with them. Anything else uploaded on non-official user accounts is subject to Cease & Desist requirements.
