Helen Fospero has been presenting some BBC London weekend bulletins for a while, if she's in London with her husband she'll probably keep doing a few of them

Yep - though I think some of this may have been because Nina defected to ITV1, and wasn't asked/allowed to work out her notice period with BBC London. She didn't appear on-screen again after she told management that she was leaving/. This will have left a sizeable hole in the rotas - and I suspect the BBC were grateful to be able to ask Helen to fill in some shifts.

I thought she was great on BBC London - she looked good on their set, and came over as polished and professional, but also warm. (Sadly I don't think anyone could accuse Nina of warmth on-screen...)

Yes, I thought Helen has been excellent on the weekend bully's, then she was good on Look North too. Wouldn't be sad to see Emily dropped in favour of her as the main presenter.

Never did like Nina, and still don't like her on the Evening News. When Katie fills in, it shows what we're missing. Nina always looked miserable...but then again so does Ronke Phillips on London Today/Tonight. It's like Skeletor reading the news.

I remember Ronke Phillips on Central News years ago - she was a load of rubbish! Remembered she had a coughing fit on air during a GMTV bulletin too once - was cringeworthy but hilarious Very Happy

Putting Ana to one side... We have read back and the person who seems to be spot on accurate with everything he posts is Museumman. Either he is brilliant at guessing (lottery numbers please?) or he really is in the know.

Which museum are you the man of?

Well I know of a museum which has a BBC studio and a Look North team housed in it...

Museumman contributed heavily to another thread on TV forum recently, about filming techniques. I think we are looking in the same direction here.

Museum of Photography, Film and Television, Bradford. Which houses parts of Radio Leeds, some of Look North and BBCi's Bradford and West Yorkshire website.

that's what I was hinting at.....

Subtle Kat Laughing

The poor man probably feeds the fish in the Harbour Museum at Brid and we've promoted him to the main man of a national museum. Still it will be good for his ego!!!

i have been there last Summer, went in the mock studio and did a local and national news report. It was just a desk and a Blue Screen behind.

that's the mock studio for the punters to play with, but there is a full BBC Radio Leeds studio editing facilities for Look North, and a camera in the newsroom controlled by Leeds (or wherever the DTL is for)

I'm hoping to visit the museum next time I stay with my brother and sister-in-law (who live in Morley). Maybe I'll get a few more contacts who will help me on my way up the career ladder!
