I noticed a couple of oddities on today's Andrew Marr Show, including with the pre-recorded interview with the Secretary General of NATO. There was a reference to the interview taking place prior to the London Bridge attack, but on the desk in the studio you could see the front page of today's Sunday Times?!

Presumably the questions were re-recorded this morning for continuity, but they'd even gone to the effort of putting the interviewee up on one of the big screens as if he was listening to Marr's questions there and then...

Perhaps there wasn't a TV studio available at the time the interview was recorded, so Andrew spoke directly down the phone to the guest's earpiece?

OK, but here's a serious question: if the Queen dies after she has recorded the Christmas message but before Christmas Day, does it still get shown?

Should've known this would happen. It wouldn't have been surprising if she HAD died, considering all the stress Andrew's given her in the last couple of weeks, and her age. But yeah, I won't believe she has until it's on proper news sites and not just social media.

That 8am thing is false, by the way. An article from a couple of years ago about a Queen's death hoax says this:
Quote:
Not everyone is aware of the debunkers, and many are mistakenly under the impression that news of a royal death could only be announced at 08:00, and that was the reason for the delay.

"Lizzie RETURNS FROM DEAD to deliver FINAL Christmas message"

EDIT: Serious answer: Probably not. It'll likely end up archived. However, I reckon her heir would record a fresh message.

I stand corrected re: 8am. Sure I read that somewhere though? Or maybe it's all changed and what not since I last read up on it.

Whats the reasoning by delaying any announcement anyway? If it was this morning she died, Id have thought breaking it this evening would be reasonable?

There’s a lot of gossip on Twitter that the queen may have died, I suspect it’s just a rumour but... it so, would it cancel the GE?

It’s not on my timeline, I think this reflects on the people who you follow.

The fact it's not even trending suggests it's fake news.

The Queen is Number 5 trending in the UK on Twitter now.

However the source is from a WhatsApp message that has a certain body part as a profile picture.

Let's just leave it unless we hear something a bit more credible.
