Andrew Neil wasn't there in 2017 (though he managed to elicit the line of the night very quickly from Paddy Ashdown), I doubt he will appear this time. That's not to say there won't be a shake-up though - Emma Barnett on Election Night would be good, I feel.
So far all anyone has suggested as far as what the BBC may it may not do is to be presented by males.
I’d suggest Maitlis did the grilling of politicians.
Mishal Husain will have a roll and Reeta Chakrabarti has also played a part in the last two elections so I’d expect to see her take a roll.
Andrew Neil need not play any part in election night.

Andrew is one of the BBC's best political interviewers, he will be there, utter madness if he is not

BBC already announcing some of their plans. Doing a 4 day edition of "Electioncast" during the campaign. Brexitcast continues on Thursdays.
More to come soon but we'll be bringing you a daily #Electioncast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, #Brexitcast as usual on a Thursday and a special #Electioncast looking back at the week on the campaign on Fridays.

I really think the BBC will now hold back on the Christmas presentation until the election has passed - probably the 14th December (the most important national vote of that week, the Strictly final).
Wonder if Sky News Brexit Free will rebrand as Sky News Election Free, assuming it continues (was it ever intended to run beyond the 31st October?)
This will be the first general election to be held in the middle of the BBC Christmas presentation during December - how strange it feels for an election so close to Christmas.

Hasn't someone said that any election coverage from the BBC will come from Studio B rather than Elstree this time around? They made use of it for the local elections, EU elections, and Conservative leadership debate and have added things like the extra camera rail along the top of the screens on one side of the set to make the studio more flexible for these uses.

If I’m not mistaken Brexitcast morphed from Electioncast after the last General Election.

I think you might be right. I’m sure I’ve read this. They’ll utilise studio B in its entirety.

There will also more than likely be shows booked into Elstree and Studioworks won’t want to annoy external clients by booting them out regardless of an election or not.
This will also be the second election in this financial year the BBC didn’t expect to happen, so don’t be expecting lots of effort thrown for wizzardry and fancy stuff.

There is a lot of chanting going on from Pro/Anti Brexit campaigners on RTÉ's Prime Time during a live interview about the GE with two MP's at Westminster tonight. The two MP's are Jack Dromey from Labour & Tom Tugendhat from the Tories. Dr Ronan McCrae is inside Prime Time's usual London studio in the peace & quiet so he is away from the raucous noise coming out from Westminster. The three of them were being interviewed by Miriam O'Callaghan from Dublin.
