Something a bit weird. The quality of coverage of my 3 news channels in order: Sky, CNN, BBC
BBC is very pixelated and zoomed. Sky is the actual stream in high def. CNN is just below Sky in quality.

I can understand the family wanting unobtrusive camera work, but to apparantly restrict to one camera seems too frugal. Two cameras located at the same position would have been much better enabling switiching between the two without increasing the footprint significantly. the pan, zoom and focus issues would then be avoided.

Aljazeera English & RT are the only English News networks which are not carrying continuing Live coverage of the Whitney Houston Funeral.

It's just the normal news with a few Whitney music clips in-between.

So I guess my original statement was mildly innacurate then Confused

Would you really expect anything else from them?

Have Sky and the BBC really been running it continuously? Is it really something significant that it needs to be on the telly at all?

It's an easy shift for some people.

No major invision for NC or World since 1700 UK time.

Are there presenters sitting in the studio ready at this moment, for one reason or another?

(I presume we're going back to split services as usual, when it's over?)

They're trapped by starting to show it, leaving now would seem to be wholly inappropriate. The way it's going a 9pm finish might be ambitious,

I presume the on-duty World presenter is in the studio to provide any necessary commentary, and to be ready for when the funeral ends. I would expect the NC presenter to be in or near N6 waiting to carry on with normal news.

Personally I don't feel the whole of the funeral should be have been covered by the BBC - there are other things going on in the world which should take priority over something so 'showbiz'.
