New look to bring it in line with ITV (October 2016)

The "Archive - November 2007" text in that news report is very "old UTV". I'm guessing that was burned into the video or else why were UTV using old graphics after their new look was supposed to have launched?

Please no. I long for the day UTV has someone stood in front of a weather map, who actually knows something about the weather.

Studio looks quite interesting actually and better than the red. The logo though really doesn't look great on the generic ITV News design, though they'd probably get away with it if the "tv" wasn't in the circle.

This means that the listings in many TV guides will be inaccurate as the name's still UTV Live and they call it UTV News.

Is that old logo on a blue background some sort of screensaver? In any case, they should've updated that. The logo on the clock is out of date too, but that looks like it won't be so easily replaced.


Old set recoloured isn't surprising - same thing happened to most of the English regions too when the original generic new titles were introduced.

The lighting is dreadful - also you can see the reflection of the wonky and messy LED strip lighting.

The logo doesn't look right in the plasmas either. It's already clear they're not centre !
