Susan Osman Overnight

Saw Susan overnight on World the other night for the first time in a long long time. She looks a bit more matronly than she ever did before, but I just realised that she is an excellent presenter.

Cool, calm and simply effective. Never ever thought of her as being one of my favourites before, but maybe the spell of absence and mediocre replacements (Jake Lynch?????) have shed light on Susan's talent as a good presenter.

Anyone else notice that she was looking a bit "different"? Don't quite know what it was though.

Sailed through all bulletins without as much as a single glitch.

She is a very good presenter, yes. Easy to watch. You feel kind of safe with her some how.

I wouldn't mind her arrangement actually - during the week, BBC Points West and her own show on BBC Radio Bristol. As well as that, shifts on BBC News 24 and BBC World. A nice bit of variety and pay!

Susan will be on BBC N24/ World / One next Saturday too and has a new haircut, that's why she looks different. And yes, she is a good presenter. A very nice person in real life too.

But, does that not happen DAILY, and at the licence payer's expense?

No, its up to the presenters to get their hair cut with their money. On Points West they are just told what to were. Hence the matching floral dress/tie last month.

Not always the case - some presenters have it written in their contract that they can get their hair done on the company - esp for the women.

Oh my Goodness. If that is the case, then probably 50% of the licence fee goes on new wigs for Moira. Hope it's not written into her contract!

BIG MOIRA does not wear a wig you foolish object. I suggest you leave this forum right away if you intend to say such things.
