Shirley Henry

Am I alone in finding Shirley Henry's reporting over the top delivery a distraction? Her breathless, over enthusiastic delivery does her no favours. News reports should not sound and look like an audition for a local amateur production of The Importance of being Earnest.

From the few times I've not been at work and up early enough to see, I have no faults with her.

For a moment i thought you were referring to Shirley from EastEnders, played by Linda Henry.

Gone are the days of Claire Frisby being there every morning, now we have a revolving door of presenters. Last week, we had three over the five days if my memory serves me right., I would say that Shirley Henry is one of the better ones. There are some very poor ones.

She does have a tendency to sound a little bit like she's reading a story to a child, although she has improved a lot lately.
