I assume World News America has to revert to bulletin mode to make sense for the PBS broadcasts, but a BBC News simulcast covering the early developments might make sense.

Maybe the BBC News UK channel will simulcast BBC World News at 10pm anyway, as the BBC One football is now playing 30 mins extra time, which will no doubt be followed by analysis, etc, and probably delay the 10pm news.

"Watching CNN" is now trending again in the UK on Twitter. Obviously still remaining a popular choice.

Bbc news channel is taking WNA and as mentioned above it makes sense as NaT isn’t due to start until 10:05pm.

Are you sure? I can't see it trending tonight in the UK.

Yes, it was definitely there when I looked about half an hour ago.

Are the Trump trilogy of Fox, Newsmax and OAN broadcasting the trial or pretending it isn't happening?

I saw Newsmax did broadcast some of it.

Well they have nice graphics, and that's all that matters after all.

Fox News cut away and decided not to show new security footage of the seditionists breaking out windows and entering the Capitol, as well as footage of a black officer saving Mitt Romney from the invading mobs.
Complicit? Feeling guilty? Trying to hide something?

FTVLIVE in response to FOX cutting away from coverage:
Quote:
In what appeared to be a move by Fox News to not upset their right-wing base, the network cut off an impeachment manager in mid-sentence Wednesday as he was presenting dramatic video footage of the mob attacking the U.S. Capitol last month and government leaders running for safety.

It wasn’t like they were dumping out because things were boring.

“They dumped out because they knew this was going to make Trump and his supporters look bad<‘ said one news executive said as they were watching FNC at the time.

Even “The Five’s” Juan Williams cried foul. Williams called out his co-hosts for being "afraid" of seeing the evidence during the impeachment trial. “You don’t want to deal with the news!” Williams said to the others. “I’m kind of shocked,” Williams added.

“The political math doesn’t add up,” Fox’s Jesse Watters said. “Democrats don’t have the votes, yet they’re still pressing ahead.”

The AP reports that meanwhile, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and NBC’s Kasie Hunt seemed visibly shaken by what they’d seen. NBC News’ Lester Holt called it “emotionally wrenching.” “It almost dares members of the Senate not to vote for impeachment,” Holt said.

While Fox News continued to try and cater to their base, it is not working as far as ratings are concerned. Fox is lagging behind ratings leader MSNBC.

As for Fox’s biggest star? Tucker Carlson said he didn’t watch any of the trial’s first day. “At this point, honestly, who cares?” Carlson said.

Yeah, who cares? It is only about an attack on the democracy of our country and the attempted assassination of our leaders.

Who cares? Right?

Some changes to the lineup on CNN for the 5th day of the trial with no Jake Tapper and no Anderson Cooper. Dana Bash is doing Jake's role today and Erin Burnett is with the panel in New York.
