You know the drill. Same categories as always. Special prize for the overall winner. With only 3 weeks of this decade remaining, I don’t think we can deny that it’s been a busy news decade and a busy news year!

Hard as Nails : Niall Paterson
Best Weather Presenter : Isobel Lang
Best Biz presenter : Victoria Fritz
Award for still sustained perfect delivery after all these years : Alastair Stewart. When he starts speaking, you know it's time to sit up and pay attention.
Slight disappointment : BBC News At 10. Incredibly meh these days. 'The Brief' is a far better news digest and the sort of thing the 'News At 10' really should be. And the vox pops really need to go.
Most Missed but not necessarily deceased : Lorna Dunkley/Finnoula Sweeney.
Best visuals/graphics/music package : FranceInfo. A special word too for CNNI's CNN Newsroom. Simple concept, very well done. Still as fresh as ever.
Overall Top of the Pops : Mary Nightingale/Emily Maitlis. Two female news presenters at the top of their game.

A word of credit too for Tom Macleod who is always very good whenever I catch him on Sky News.
