With many regional weathers now pan-regional, there is a possibility of less presenters being required, so perhaps at ITV they could have 2 instead of 3 hubs at the weekend. Reducing people in offices further.

Good idea. They could get Wales and Central for example to join the Northern Hub with Emma Jesson and Kerrie Gosney sharing the role which happens on alternative weekends I believe. And then Amanda/Helen/Phillipa/James could do the other regions.

Another split could be

IOM,Border/Tyne Tees, Granada and Yorkshire from Leeds
Central and Anglia from Birmingham
Wales and West from Bristol
Channel Islands, South and Southwest from Maidstone
London can handle itself

UTV and STV as normal.

There's no reason why weather couldn't be done by somebody working from home in a similar style to when they present from an OB is there?

And because he’s welsh, loads of places, including HIGNFY tonight think he must work for BBC Wales.

Scott Mills mentioned him on Radio 1 Breakfast yesterday and as well as saying he was from BBC Wales, managed to also get his name wrong about ten times.

Polly Bartlett a reporter for STV has went high brow for the STV News theme...

To be honest I've found him difficult to warm too on North West Tonight though replacing Diane Oxberry was never going to be easy, but found him much more watchable in a clip going around of him on a road trip with Carol Vorderman in a show for S4C, and from reports it is suggests he features in her radio show, so technically does some work at least for BBC Wales.

I'm sure while on a holiday in Wales in 2011 (or might have been later than that) I saw him doing the Wales Today weather ?
