Champions League to cause changes? (November 2013)

Not that ITV would probably care, but football highlights at 10pm followed by national news at 11pm would probably not go down well with UTV and STV who air 30 minute current affairs/news programmes at 10.30pm. I doubt they would want to air them at 11.30pm instead

Thanks to all who have responded, I guess it was a silly idea. Embarassed I expect ITV to announce this within months... Very Happy

Nobody knows when the Highlights package will start yet, though logic points at 22:35pm.

Then the current system of Champions League beginning at 7:30pm, followed by the News at Ten should be continued. Highlights of all games should be at 10:30pm.

If the big-build up to the match is really required, they should do a pre-show on ITV 4.

Ah, then it won't be a problem at all after next season then.
But they will need to fill the gap.
