We often get presenters moving around the schedule filling in for others on leave etc, but I've never known a whole two-some move shifts before.

Jane's available as she's doing 7-10 so why isn't she on her usual 4-7?

And who's doing 1-4?

I could have sworn seeing Tim Willcox and Maxine Mawhinney on News 24 the other day from 1 - 7, i thought that maybe this was to do with the live reports from Boscastle, but then I saw Jane and Peter at 7 and thought how odd it seemed to be doing saturday shift hours.

Yes, Tim was on Monday, but Chris is now with Maxine. Didn't see b4 4pm so don't know if they've been on from 1pm, not likely tho is it?

The shifts have been strange this week - on the day of the news special, Tim was with Kate Silverton from 13.00-15.00, at which point, Maxine took over from Kate, but Tim stayed. Didnt see what happened after that.

Alistar Yates was on the 11pm-1am Last night.
Did any one see Jon Sopel on Newsnight last night?
I thought he did very well.

Yeah Tim was on til 7 and Maxine did the rest of the 3 o'clock hour (when not at the news special) on her own. It has all been quite peculiar though. Last week, they were everywhere , we had Maxine on 7-11 one day and then Kate the next with Maxine back where she normally is with Tim and Chris Lowe changing shifts towards the end of the week. Why though are Jane and Maxine changing shifts and not staying where they normally do? Also, is Kate Silverton Louise's cover whilst shes on maternity leave?

Oh yes, he was good.

He gave that (to me he appears slimy) David Milliband Education minister a good talking too - normally by chuckling at him.

It may depend on personal commitments. For example, Jane and Maxine may have swapped because one of them may have prior engagements, and the other doesn't mind swapping around.

I don't like her as a presenter, she's a bit wooden.

As a special correspondent however, particularly abroad, she's excellent.
