ITV GRANADA TECH PROBLEMS

Hi, so i was watching granada reports and just before it came on there was a black screen with all information like programme name, director and a countdown clock and i was wondering what it was called,

It is called a VT clock. They simply cut to the pre-recorded opening too early, or lined up the VT wrong.
