Look East are certainly making a big deal out of London 2012 considering they are actually in Norwich! We've had no such decoration on Look North Yorkshire but we did have a couple of reports about it.

I like the studio like this, and the desk it lit with yellow instead of red.

Mike Cartwright is a nice guy and was a prefect at my school when I started and was always very fair. Would make a good replacement when the smug Staurt White goes. Seems that the west's Amanda Goodman gets very little screen time on the opt out these days.
The olympic set looked good but they over dressed it with loads of cushions.

Its very similar to the Jubilee set, table I think the only exception and I think the lighting

It's like an ikea reject bin... those cushions really are something else.
It wasn't until the wide shot until I realised that they were in the usual studio, it almost looked like a temporary lash up with poor old suzie perched uncomfortably on the end of the sofa.

I agree he's a nice guy, I briefly talked to him last night whilst they were waiting to do an OB. Unfortunately the bulletin got shortened slightly due to the Olympics resulting in only about 60 seconds live after the weather, and the location was wrongly labelled as Bedford. Mike & the cameraman then stay for about an hour afterwards to film crowd reactions to the high jump as well as various vox-pops.
