Unusual BBC push notification just now - just an explainer of their finances and not a breaking news story.

Non-breaking news notifications have been commonplace for a little while.

Relatively rare on the BBC- and usually not several hours old information.

Not that rare now unfortunately, the irrelevant and in no way breaking news notifications are getting extremely irritating.

Tom a guest on a Rageh hosted News at Ten tonight. Rageh actually allowing Tom to answer the questions put to him rather than answering them himself.

Strange case of affairs when the main host of the flagship bulletin guests his own programme so he can give his own take on the events.

Tom also was a guest on the 6.30 with Mary earlier.

Tom was the royal correspondent before wasn’t he? That’s why he has a close tie to the royals and why interviewed.
