Franceinfo to launch on Friday

Cyril Férard is a mainstream name in France, who is currently the presenter of game show Slam as well as the French version of Pointless, both on France 3.

Some tweaks to the lower thirds on Franceinfo today and I think the clock has been positioned higher too?

Looks like they made the crawl/flipper two lines and switched it from dark grey to white.

It's certainly easier to read in SD.

So, there is a reusing of France Television on air staff - not only in the same day (as I've wondered) - but even in the same timeslot.
I guess that was pretty much the same sports news she presented over on France 2, a little over 25 mins earlier..

Sport and weather presenters are now shared with Télématin, so they have to walk across to both sets during the shift now.

As this image shows, the two sets must be rather close...

It may also explain why two of the four France 2 weather presenters work exclusively on the early shift which now includes Franceinfo bulletins. The PM shift presenters don't provide bulletins for the news channel.

The Berlin truck attack has shown how Franceinfo deal with a major breaking news story. They hardly used any of their BBC Three style VT's and instead simulcasted their radio station at x10 and x40 each hour of which the studios have cameras, so could see the presenter and their guests, mixed in with a live feed from Berlin.

The lower third news strap also goes red during breaking news.

Not sure how long they've been doing this, but the way they have the presenter occasionally perch over the desk for the duration of the 13h feels like a cue from franceinfo. Also, count me in as a big fan of M. Marteau.

They started doing it when Marie-Sophie Lacarrau became the permanent replacement for Elise Lucet on the 13H bulletin.
