Can I just remind people to read the rules agreed to when you hit the submit button. This place will not be used to be derogatory to another member or an individual onscreen. Members who aren't capable of thinking about what they're posting before submitting will be warned/banned.

The rota threads are tolerated because I know some people find it interesting to discuss who is on when however no-one wants to read content which is just plain nasty or conversely, so sickly sycophantic. Some posts are borderline creepy and if it continues then there may need to be some changes on what is acceptable.

For what it's worth, it would also be appreciated if those vocally against rota threads would stay out of them , the sarcasm is not welcome either.

On a related note, it has been very nice to see a move towards splitting threads of late. The megathreads are generally regarded* to be one of the major "generators of boringness" / "hiders of information" on here and its good to see something finally being done to tackle it. I certainly know a lot more about what is going on on TV at the moment then previously simply due to the proliferation of new threads. It makes a far more enjoyable atmosphere on the forum Smile

*and please see page after page of the TV Forum Watch thread if anyone asks where my "generally regarded" comes from

Seconded. It's amazing how much more active and interesting TV Forum has been the past few weeks. New threads on old pres where we can actually get a discussion going without it being stifled by boring observations about current pres. I've also found myself following some of the sports threads, such as Wimbledon which I never did before. When it was all in the one sport thread it was too off-putting due to my passing interest. I've found myself checking TV Forum much more frequently than I have of late, so that's a good sign. Keep it up guys!
