i see bbc newsline have their cso backdrop for the breakfast bulletins now.

They are using the cso backdrop with Jo Scott after tonight's BBC NaT.

The CSO in Studio C is used every Thursday night, as The View is in Studio B.

If you mean the 20 second news update at 9pm on BBC One NI, and the weather updates on BBC Two NI at 8 and 10pm... no. They stopped almost a year ago during the first lockdown.

From the other side, but worth sharing: it's Jane Loughrey's last shift at UTV today.

Today @Jane_utv leaves UTV. A superb journalist who covered the most difficult of stories with great sensitivity and professionalism. A wonderful career. An icon for television reporters. And most of all for many of us, a friend.

She’s been on since 2001. she did reporting but I don’t think she presented any bulletins. all the best for her.

1992; Jane has been the longest-serving current reporter in the newsroom until today.

(Yeah, Paul Clark and Pamela Ballantine have both filed reports in their time at UTV, but each is regarded more as a presenter.)

Not long until Ken himself, and Frank, leave now...

I don’t know where to post this. BBC One NI had a national continuity announcer instead of the local one

Possibly a little technical hitch at BBC Broadcasting House in Belfast which required a network announcer instead?
