10 years ago for the 50th Anniversary since the BBC News and Newsreel the BBC did something to celebrate the 50th Anniversary as well as release the BBC News at 50 DVD. I just wondered are they going to be doing anything for the 60th?

The first television news bulletin was 5th July 1954.

50 is a better anniversary to celebrate, but I'm sure they'll do something

60 is Diamond Jubilee so it should do something.

I've still got my DVD of the 50th Anniversary in 2004, quite a nice surprise that the entire content was in 4:3.

Me too! And I recall that the DVD jacket informs us that Moira Stewart is one of the participants in the DVD.

Fancy the BBC having two presenters called Moira Stewart/Stuart.

Same here! I've also got a couple of glossy publications that were given to all BBC staff at the time. One of them contains photos of each production team (e.g. Breakfast, BBC World, News 24 etc) at the time of the anniversary in July 2004 and the other contains various articles about BBC News's history. I've also kept that week's edition of the Radio Times. Can't believe it's all survived 10 years intact!
