I am confused as to what this channel is supposed to be. So can someone clear it up for me as to what purpose it serves?

Would love to but I can't, it appeared following the mass retune exercise in Sept last year, and has had nothing on it since. The only activity being the presence for a period of a time of an encryption flag.

Looking completely at a tangent I have a theory that it might have some connection to the new Channel Zero service (or Trove as it currently is called) as both are on ARQ multiplexes and I cannot see how Channel Zero can operate on it's paltry 64kbits/s data rate alone.

Could it be a way of splitting the porn away, like the way Sky place the Customer Channels before and after it?

Thanks for the info anyway. At least I'll be staring at a blank screen in anticipation for whatever will come along.

Looking at the details from my box 89 (TV News) & 306 (Trove) are on different UHF positions up here in the North West. Trove is on UHF 61 and TV News is on UHF 55 if I think rightly and thus they cannot be linked.

I managed to get through about 30 seconds before switching off, very cheap looking and a waste of decent Freeview space that could have been better used.

One hour of 'celebrity' info, on a continuous loop with eye-hurting graphics and annoying, repetitive musical sting.

'Enjoy' here.
