Just watching arise news for the second time , the New York studio is horrible , very dark , and the blue panels look like the regional itv sets! , I just don't like the feel to the channel ( maybe I'm just used to something different!

Yes, Tyne Tees South physically doesn't exist anymore (the capacity was used to launch some extra +1 regions) so bringing it back would be quite costly on that front as well as the programming side.

No Breakfast, coverage split between NBH and TVC

This was in the Daybreak thread about Monday morning's ratings. The news/daytime programmes actually did very well holding up against Daybreak. Particularly against Lorraine (where there was no news replacement and Breakfast was effectively 'over').

If you read it in context, he says generally the BBC require more evidence and sources before it takes on a story. Which has always been the case. Even the smallest of breaking news has to be double sourced for the NC while Sky News is nearly always single sourced.
