10 Days to War

Actually, it'd be great if the BBC could run a realistic dramatisation of what their News output would have been like if a nuclear attack had been announced back in the days of the Cold War. It would be very interesting.

A sort of pres-junkie's wet dreamed version of Threads?

I think it would have been better scheduled to run after Newsnight (or after the Ten) rather than at the start of it, or indeed as a one-off drama in it's own right.


I just hope though it isn't going back to the debate of should we have gone to war in Iraq - whatever your views at the time, and whatever the benefits of hindsight might be - the fact is we did go to war and rather than bringing up that question again the debate needs to be about what has been and hasn't been achieved in the 5 years since.
