I'm really quite impressed, I'd change the font in the logo though as I personally don't think it suits it, and i'd change some of the typography in the video- The part with the date I thought was let down by the font used.

Really like it overall, and as others have said it was really well put together in terms of all of the clips and a clear improvement on the first version. I think from 0:50 - 1:13 is my favorite bit and particularly well done.

For me though, it does lack elements of originality in terms of the style and it feels a little bit like it was a 'Today' mock with a different name. I also think that the music is weak, it really doesn't have any power to it - it's just quite bland. When you listen to many other morning shows they've got more power in the titles. It's difficult to describe exactly but my main tip would be to replace the music with something with a bit more to it.

That said, those are just minor things and overall you've done a really good job - 4/5 from me!

Once again, thanks for all of the comments and ratings, much appreciated. To address a few more and ask a couple of questions:

Some of the graphics are a bit 'rough' or unpolished, like the TOTH astons. [...] However, as others have said it is a rip off of Today [...] The graphics are a bit big as well, and I'm not a fan of the font. Would the title sequence change for every story, as I'm wondering what relevance Westminster has to an online breakfast show? I know the background footage animations would have taken a lot of time, but I find it a little bit unnecessary and jarring

Firstly, the Westminster shot was used specifically because of the main story being about the Westminster attack. On other days, either a shot of the studio building (like GMB) would be used if the building was iconic enough (eg. TLS, Broadcasting House, etc.) The graphics are "a bit big" due to this being streamed, it caters for people watching on 4" phones and not having the best quality of stream and well, they're still smaller than CNN's Lower Three Quarters Razz I do however get where you're coming from will look into changing them. As for the quick transitions, they are very marmite and I get that. Personally, I love them and obviously some people hate them but if I redo the opener I will go for a still quick but slightly slower feel.

It's the same font as the rest just with a hollow centre. I am - admittedly - awful at choosing fonts so any suggestions for the main or logo fonts would be greatly appreciated.

I also think that the music is weak, it really doesn't have any power to it - it's just quite bland.

I'm currently using the Today AUS theme tune because I quite like it but would like to have something more powerful. If only I was a music composer.

Generally I think the fonts are letting this down and if anyone has any ideas as to how to make the logo formation at the very start less NBC Today then I'd appreciate those suggestions as I get that it's almost a recreation but have no ideas as to how it could be changed.
Thanks again

There are quite a few websites out there which offer video music or production music which have such a range of music which might help you to find the right music. I'd recommend ones such as: www.audionetwork.com or www.audioblocks.com. Both are pretty good for finding a good piece of music. I think Audio Network is probably the better of the two for this type of thing, it even has a specific 'TV Music/Themes' section which should be perfect.

It might take a little while to find one that really suits with the type of thing but it might be worth it in the long run if you're looking to produce a polished piece. That said, if you're happy with what you've got as it is - stick with it as the project really is good as it is!

Fiverr damages industries and have been found various times to plagiarise things (e.g. logos... and no doubt music.) Other than that it's people dancing with signs for a fiver. They make money off of dishonest business practices. In short... don't.

This post has really annoyed me, people do dishonest things on eBay too from time to time, does this mean no one should ever use eBay? In terms of damaging industries it just equalises things allowing those who haven't had opportunity make big bucks from their talents to make a little extra income, it's not like it's going to be used by the BBC or Channel 5 or this poster would be using professional who charge thousands if Fiverr didn't exist. I'm sure the poster is intelligent enough to decide whether something composed for him is original or not, after all you could pay a professional and it might turn out they have plagiarised something else too. It's only a mock design at the end of the day so not worth spending more than a Fiver on it, but he'll probably get something better than if he doesn't pay anything.

I'm sorry my post upset you so much! But I still think my points are valid and my stance remains the same. To me, Fiverr is a website that really doesn't help a somewhat struggling industry where some designers are finding themselves not getting paid for their hard work or people asking them to do free work for 'experience'... they even run ads asking people 'Why pay £100 for a logo when you could pay £5?'
...That isn't a good sign. And the people using it because they haven't 'had the oppurtunity to make big bucks for their talents' haven't had the opportunity because a lot of the time the designers on Fiverr take a icon from a stock image website and slap some text on it... I wasn't saying to the mocker 'spend more than a fiver on it!'- it was more telling them don't use Fiverr... Yes, it's just music for a mock and I agree that he could probably get something better for free or even experiment with things like GarageBand as well. It's only music for a mock... but it's still condoning Fiverr. For example, I really ( really ) dislike the tabloid the sun. I wouldn't buy it just because, say, they were giving away free chocolate bars, because that's still funding The Sun.

He can do whatever he likes, I'm not bothered. I just thought I'd say my piece on the site.

I can understand why you don't like the plagiarism aspect that's clearly wrong but that's between the creator and the client and yes Fiverr should pick up on anything like this in an idea world, but I suspect it's basically impossible to police, just as their are products sold on eBay which are not so legit.

As I said it's no different to people buying dodgy products off eBay, yet you are not condemning eBay as an entity. In terms 'Why pay £100 for a logo when you could pay £5?' I really do not see whats wrong with that as proposition, if someone wants to make a bit of extra income by undercutting others that is up to them, it's up to buyers to be selective and cautious. I don't like the idea just because someone values their own services higher than somebody else's it makes it somehow more legitimate and to be honest it comes across as total snobbery on your part. If people have got something to offer they're are entitled to charge what they like and Fiverr is a good platform for some and I'm sure many will be totally original work.

I don't disagree with your decision to dislike the service as a whole because of possible plagiarism, but those creating original works, albeit offering them very cheaply shouldn't be looked down upon and I think if the OP finds something he likes that's original on Fivver he should use it. You could argue royalty free garage band beds are putting professionals out of business too. Quite simply your point is nonsensical and I'm quite surprised at one of the better value TV Forum members dosxuk kudosing it.

So you call my point snobby and nonsensical yet you're bewildered that people are kudosing my post... It just sounds like you're not used to being wrong and you're not happy about it...
