Reimagining The ITN News Channel for 2020

This is my first mock and i've decided to design new lower thirds, title cards and coming soon banners for the ITN News channel.



This new online channel would feature bulletins from ITV, Channel 4 & Channel 5 simulcast but with a headlines ticker and clock added. When no network bulletin is being shown it would show an ITN made documentary (new or old) or a bespoke ITN News bulletin.

Its a good start. I like it. its simplistic but you have lined everything up nicely which a lot of people don't and you have some nice padding around the text which makes things easier to read

I like that you have kept a ticker as a flipper can be restrictive in the amount of information you can put on it

It has a lot of aspects of BBC News whilst keeping a few bits of the current Itv news colours and the titles remind me of the itv news channel with Mark Austin & Mary Nightingale during the blue and yellow block theatre of news era and there are some things from the original ITN news channel such as the positioning of the logo and clock

I'd like to see some more for how you would do sport, weather, markets etc

Too early to score it but it has promise. I'd ditch the idea of simulcast of ITN programmes for other channels as nowadays that is unlikely and to be honest it compromises your design.

Certainly the best newbie effort for quite some time though.

It’s a bit... dull? ITN tend to be quite modern in their design these days but this is quite basic. I think if they were to revive their news channel, it’d look quite a bit different to this and to how it used to look.

Be bold. I’d add in more colour and bigger text.

These would animate in and out like a 'flipper' but would be 'tickers' themselves.

I've also done a nightime ITN News title card: (Which I think doesn't look as nice)

The DOG and clock would probably work better if dropped to the bottom so the logo lines up with the Aston. Agree though with all new phil that you can push it much further and be much bolder, but this is a really strong starting point.

Independent Television News News?

Its ok. But its too BBC, just a different colour. But nice work anyway.

It used to be called that.
