Thanks, I'll definitely try to change it to Sine waves but Garageband has very little features so I am pushing it on how much it can offer. The PIPS are from David Lowe himself since they are used in the original BBC News countdown so they seem to be okay as they are. I am aware that I can generate them in Audacity but I haven't been able to get them sounding quite right.

Garageband's AUSampler instrument will give you perfect pips using the Default setting.

I can't seem to hear the clap at the beginning, and although I can hear glimpses of it during the instrumental, it's not loud enough.

I'll try that, thanks. I've noticed that my timings are wrong. The first thunderclap happens when the countdown clock is at 56.00 but in the official countdown, the thunderclap is at 54.00. Also, the high pips start at 12.00 on the countdown clock but in the official version, the high pips start at 10.00 on the countdown clock. I may need to fix that Laughing

I am still hearing the thunderclaps in the wrong places in the countdown. When it comes to the title music though, it's fine.

I have checked and they seem to be in the right place. Which ones do you think are I in the wrong place?

This is a slightly cropped down version. Version 3 has the thunderclap at the same timings as the official BBC News countdown

From the sounds of it you've got some sort of hearing problem... The claps are there and are clearly audible.

I wouldn't have put it like that but I agree. The claps are clearly there. What do you think of the updated version?
