ITV 1989 - What If?

I created some mock idents a couple of years ago showing what the ITV idents of 1989 would look like if older or newer regions had been around then. I'm probably going to get shot down for posting these, but here we are...

Not a bad attempt at all. I do like the ATV and Rediffusion ones. I'm concerned about Meridian's colour, and the Carlton one doesn't look good. I do know which mock it is based on, but the LT makes it look like it's London Tonight not Carlton.

Still a good attempt. 4 stars!

Could you elaborate a bit on that? The colours used are from the 1993 ident.

Unless you were basing Meridian on a mock ident which contains those colours, this shows the wrong shade of blue. It should be dark blue or purple.

Maybe the Carlton version would be better suited to the 1999 star in the 'V' rather than the 'LT'?

I had thought about it, but it's been done before by others, and I don't think I could make it any more different.

No blue on the face, it's purple!

The face isn't meant to be in the ident though, the original ITV idents used abstract variants of the logos...

Anyway, now Luke Sams has gone, here are the recreations of the original 1989 designs I did. Like the previous idents, these were created a couple of years ago...

Let's compare this to Lukesams's (Even if he is gone/banned, he's work is still on display). Yours is better, presumably because of the better software.
